Lace up your shoes for a worldwide virtual 5k!
You can run, walk, or skip. It’s up to you!
There’s no time limit and there’s just one requirement: that you participate. You can do it inside or outside, on a treadmill or on a track — just get moving!
If you’ve ever used or loved WordPress (your families and friends, included), this virtual race is for you. Heck, the entire Internet is invited for this event!
Be sure to share your run using the #wwwp5k tag on social media so we can share our collaborative efforts and connect everyone across the globe.
How much is 5k?
5k is approximately 3.1 miles long, or roughly equivalent to:
- Twelve laps around a standard running track.
- Approximately 6000-7500 walking steps.
- Approximately 50-60 minutes at a brisk walking pace.
We know you’re probably very busy during these uncertain times (so are we). Remember, we’re all in this together!
That’s why we are giving everyone some flexibility for completing this global 5k race. Run or walk any time between December 1 – December 31, 2020 to participate in this 5k.
Once you’ve completed your 5k, share a selfie on your favorite social media platform or tag your blog post using the #wwwp5k tag. And bonus!
